"Happy Holidays"
As we say good-by to Thanksgiving in November, there are many wonderful activities to look forward to in December. It is also the beginning of Stone Crab Season. (You will commonly hear “Now’s the time to get stoned”!!) Whether you like them hot, with steamed red potatoes and corn on the cob, or cold, if you are a fan, your time is here, and this year the crabbers are due for a great season.
With an average temperature of 75 degrees in December, and with the humidity gone, the outdoors calls to all. Some of the most fun attractions, shows, and concerts begin this month, many of which are outdoors. - Master Sand sculpting contest is back. Artists from all over the world come to compete for prize money, creating their masterpieces.
Just for a sneak peak of something different, the Florida International Air Show is back for 42nd event down in Punta Gorda.
Soak up the sun along our white-sand beaches.
Treat yourself to diverse dining, enriching arts and culture, shopping districts of all sorts and natural Florida fun.
In Sarasota, each moment is your own.
The Farmers’ Market is as fun as ever downtown Sarasota on Saturdays and the Waterside Farmers market has really grown up here in Lakewood Ranch on Sundays. (You can actually find at least 3 different days of the week for different locations)
As you plan your visit, know that it is our mission to show you our wonderful bit of Paradise here on the gulf coast, and to help you find the perfect property, whether it be a vacation home, or permanent relocation.

One thing to note – Just like where you are, prices have gone up, so you may have to re-evaluate your expectations when it come to budget.

Become your buyer – If you weren’t moving to Paradise, would you buy your home at the price you are asking?
What do you see when you pull up to your home?
Does the first impression say: Wow- this home looks pristine?
As they walk through your home, can your buyer envision each room for his or her purpose? Is there plenty of room for their belongings? Empty every top shelf ( do this in every cabinet and shelf in the house). You have to pack any way, this will give you a head start. Whether you are dreaming of downtown or dockside, water view or your favorite fairway, our commitment is to help you discover your ultimate lifestyle.

Declutter-Declutter-Declutter!!
The most important thing to remember is: once you decide to put your home on the market, it becomes a house and not your home – (you have to pack anyway, so why not get started early)
Look at your house though buyer’s eyes.
What do you see when you pull up to your house and park your car? Curb appeal is so important. You only get one chance to make a first impression.
Does the front of your home have an inviting and welcoming allure? Are your bushes and other plant life trimmed and tidy? Arrange a few pots of colorful plants and frame the entry way to invite your perspective buyer into their new home.
As you enter, are you greeted with a neutral fresh scent? You want to appeal to all the senses for greatest effect.
Is your paint color neutral so others can visualize their furniture in the house? As you walk from room to room is everything neat and tidy?
Are your kitchen counters clear? Empty every top shelf, every cabinet, every closet, and anyplace that has a top shelf leave empty. After all – you want to give the illusion of more than enough storage for anyone to need.
