Marching into March
What a February!! Old Man winter sure had its grip all over the country.
It was wonderful being able to meet many of you who were at the Ideal Living Resort and Retirement Expo in Chicago and Long Island last month.
Here in Sarasota, we look forward to a very busy March. Spring training begins, and the Orioles are hosting many of your favorite teams, including the Red Sox, Yankees, Philies, Pirates, and more. From Tampa to Ft. Myers, it is a baseball lovers’ fantasy come true.
The Parade of Homes continues the first 2 weeks in March. The builders have gone all out to officially introduce their new models. From Parish, located north of Sarasota, Bradenton – priced from the low 400’s to homes priced into the millions in Lakewood Ranch, you can find anything in between as well.
There are also wonderful new models in the Venice Florida area too, with Wellen Park pavilion area being developed now.
The waters sparkle, the sand is beyond imagination, and no matter where you choose to live, you are no more than 30 minutes to one of our Amazing Beaches!
As we travel back to Tyson’s Corner for the Ideal Living Show at the Ritz, and to New Jersey we look forward to meeting and introducing many more to OUR bit of Paradise From Tampa to Naples. Team Rothschild has expanded, and we have colleagues in all those areas.

As you think about putting your home on the market,
a few hints:
You never get a second chance to make a first impression!
Become your buyer – If you weren’t moving to Paradise, would you buy your home at the price you are asking?
What do you see when you pull up to your home?
Does the first impression say: Wow- this home looks pristine?
As they walk through your home, can your buyer envision each room for his or her purpose? Is there plenty of room for their belongings? Empty every top shelf ( do this in every cabinet and shelf in the house). You have to pack any way, this will give you a head start. Whether you are dreaming of downtown or dockside, water view or your favorite fairway, our commitment is to help you discover your ultimate lifestyle.
So now you are thinking –
“How do I get the most dollars out of my home when I sell?”
Your mission is to make your home show like a model.
Declutter-Declutter-Declutter!!
The most important thing to remember is: once you decide to put your home on the market, it becomes a house and not your home – (you have to pack anyway, so why not get started early)
Look at your house though buyer’s eyes.
What do you see when you pull up to your house and park your car? Curb appeal is so important. You only get one chance to make a first impression.
Does the front of your home have an inviting and welcoming allure? Are your bushes and other plant life trimmed and tidy? Arrange a few pots of colorful plants and frame the entry way to invite your perspective buyer into their new home.
As you enter, are you greeted with a neutral fresh scent? You want to appeal to all the senses for greatest effect.
Is your paint color neutral so others can visualize their furniture in the house? As you walk from room to room is everything neat and tidy?
Are your kitchen counters clear? Empty every top shelf, every cabinet, every closet, and anyplace that has a top shelf leave empty. After all – you want to give the illusion of more than enough storage for anyone to need.
Hope these few little hints help you get on the right track.
