Happy New Year!!

Leslie's December 2019 Blog

I say this every year, but it is so true.

Every Jan 1st, I always feel a new sense of renewal. It’s like a new beginning, a chance to start fresh. (Oh yes, each year we all pledge to eat less, exercise more, lose those few extra pounds…)

We all,one way or another make these “resolutions”- but how about something new. This year, how about a pledge to re-think, rejuvenate and KEEP those resolutions!

Here our suggestions to help you keep your
resolutions for 2020!

Beach, Beach, Beach

Beach, Beach, Beach

Blue skies, sunshine, white sands, palm trees swaying in the breeze and the sparkling Gulf of Mexico are calling. (Did you know that there are more than 20 miles of beautiful white sandy beaches to choose from in the Sarasota, Anna Maria, Bradenton, and Venice, areas?)

Golfer’s Heaven

You’ll find that golf courses and golf course living are everywhere in the Sarasota area. Options range from public courses and digital driving ranges to championship level and prestigious clubs.

Boater’s Heaven and Other Outdoor Living

Boater's Haven

Go boating; walk down a public pier; enjoy water sports of all kinds; or take in the views from many parks and preserves.

Foodies and Shopper’s Delight

Each year, we see that the list of restaurants keeps growing, especially with the continued development of Lakewood Ranch. Combined with the ever so popular St. Armand’s Circle, the new entertainment and dining complex that is evolving at Westfield Mall, and several new restaurants that have opened downtown, one is never without new and exciting options to try. Of course, never forget our popular Saturday morning Farmer’s Market downtown, as well as the Lakewood Ranch Farmers’ Market, and Phillipi Creek Farmers market!

The Culture Coast

I certainly do not want to leave out the abundant choices of theatre, ballet, opera, symphony, jazz, and festivals that we are blessed to have in Sarasota; and such easy access to Tampa venues as well.

Many of you will be heading to Florida this winter to soak up the sunshine. We hope those who take refuge from cold weather soon find they are magically drawn to living here, and that we can help.

Our mission is to help you find the perfect “runaway” or full time residence. We look forward to showing you our bit of Paradise and all the exciting things that are going on in this area!

Until then – Enjoy !!!! Leslie

So now you are thinking –

“How do I get the most dollars out of my home when I sell?”

A Few Hints

Your mission is to make your home show like a model.

The most important thing to remember is: once you decide to put your home on the market, it becomes a house and not your home – (you have to pack anyway, so why not get started early)

Look at your house though buyer’s eyes.

What do you see when you pull up to your house and park your car? Curb appeal is so important. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

Does the front of your home have an inviting and welcoming allure? Are your bushes and other plant life trimmed and tidy? Arrange a few pots of colorful plants and frame the entry way to invite your perspective buyer into their new home.

As you enter, are you greeted with a neutral fresh scent? You want to appeal to all the senses for greatest effect.

Is your paint color neutral so others can visualize their furniture in the house? As you walk from room to room is everything neat and tidy?

Are your kitchen counters clear? Empty every top shelf, every cabinet, every closet, and anyplace that has a top shelf leave empty. After all – you want to give the illusion of more than enough storage for anyone to need.

Hope these few little hints help you get on the right track.

Siesta Key Beach

As you think about putting your home on the market,
a few hints:

You never get a second chance to make a first impression!

Become your buyer – If you weren’t moving to Paradise, would you buy your home at the price you are asking?

What do you see when you pull up to your home?

Does the first impression say: Wow- this home looks pristine?

As they walk through your home, can your buyer envision each room for his or her purpose? Is there plenty of room for their belongings? Empty every top shelf ( do this in every cabinet and shelf in the house). You have to pack any way, this will give you a head start. Whether you are dreaming of downtown or dockside, water view or your favorite fairway, our commitment is to help you discover your ultimate lifestyle.
