Hi all,

Hope everyone has been enjoying the lazy days of summer. Here in Florida, as the kids are getting ready to go back to school, the organizational groups are in full planning mode for all the festivals, concert series, theatre events, opera, sporting events, art shows, and all the rest of the activities that make Sarasota known not only for her beautiful beaches, but also as the "Culture Coast".

From the first Fridays music on Main St. Lakewood Ranch and Downtown Sarasota, to the events at the Ringling Museum,  - there is always something fun to do and see. Just check out the "Official Sarasota Site".

Each month I will try to highlight different locations, and introduce you to the many areas you can choose to live, depending on your interests.

This month is for boaters, or those who just want to look out their window and see the boats!

Boating off of Siesta Key Beach

On the Manatee River, there are some fabulous new developments springing up, that will let you park your boat out your back door. You can cruise the river, stop at any of several places to dine, and then cruise up to the Gulf of Mexico to witness the incredible sunsets along with the dolphins!

Right downtown, one can look out your window, andDowntown Sarasota Marina see the City Marina, where the Marina Jack 80+ foot cruise boat launches twice a day for a lunch or dinner cruise around the Sarasota bay, along with spectacular views.

A bit south of Sarasota proper, there is Blackburn Point. This area has much of the Old Florida charm, flavored with some newer construction as well.

(For more detailed information on any of these areas, you can always email, or give us a call)

We look forward to seeing many of you at the Live South, Ideal Living Expo August 24, and 25 at the Marriott Hotel in Falls Church, Va. We also will have a booth at the Annapolis Boat Show Oct. 3-6. We will keep you up to date on all of the locations Irv and I will be going to.

As always, it is our pleasure to help - so,

Until then - Enjoy!!!!

Leslie
