Leslie's October 2020 Blog
Happy Halloween!
As the leaves begin to turn up north, Irv and I look forward to meeting many of you from the different shows that this year will be Virtual!
We are beginning to feel a bit of a change here as well. Fall is in the air. The mornings and evenings are a bit cooler, but as the sun begins to set earlier, we are still enjoying nice warm temperatures. (There is definitely something to be said for watching Sunday football in a bathing suit!)
The Gulf waters are still warm, and boating is still a great option. There are many restaurants to be able to boat to or just dine and watch the beautiful Gulf and Bay waters.
Although many of the concerts, shows, and art shows have been postponed due to Covid, we are beginning to see some of these things come alive. Our masks are the “new bling” and wherever you go, people are complying.
Farmers’ Markets have resumed, and slowly things have been opening up.
The new home communities keep opening, and home sale transactions have been incredibly strong.
As you think about your winter visit and looking for your dream place to live in the sun, consider enough time to allow us to show you the many different options that are now available. There have been so many new areas evolving, and once again a very exciting place to be.
So Happy Halloween to all – and remember, when you are ready to find your paradise, we are only a phone call away!
Enjoy some of these photos that will hopefully make your day a bit better.

As you think about putting your home on the market,
a few hints:
You never get a second chance to make a first impression!
Become your buyer – If you weren’t moving to Paradise, would you buy your home at the price you are asking?
What do you see when you pull up to your home?
Does the first impression say: Wow- this home looks pristine?
As they walk through your home, can your buyer envision each room for his or her purpose? Is there plenty of room for their belongings? Empty every top shelf ( do this in every cabinet and shelf in the house). You have to pack any way, this will give you a head start. Whether you are dreaming of downtown or dockside, water view or your favorite fairway, our commitment is to help you discover your ultimate lifestyle.
So now you are thinking –
“How do I get the most dollars out of my home when I sell?”
Your mission is to make your home show like a model.
Declutter-Declutter-Declutter!!
The most important thing to remember is: once you decide to put your home on the market, it becomes a house and not your home – (you have to pack anyway, so why not get started early)
Look at your house though buyer’s eyes.
What do you see when you pull up to your house and park your car? Curb appeal is so important. You only get one chance to make a first impression.
Does the front of your home have an inviting and welcoming allure? Are your bushes and other plant life trimmed and tidy? Arrange a few pots of colorful plants and frame the entry way to invite your perspective buyer into their new home.
As you enter, are you greeted with a neutral fresh scent? You want to appeal to all the senses for greatest effect.
Is your paint color neutral so others can visualize their furniture in the house? As you walk from room to room is everything neat and tidy?
Are your kitchen counters clear? Empty every top shelf, every cabinet, every closet, and anyplace that has a top shelf leave empty. After all – you want to give the illusion of more than enough storage for anyone to need.
Hope these few little hints help you get on the right track.
As always, we love helping you live your dream! Whether it's purchasing a vacation home or a permanent relocation. Don’t hesitate to call or of course eMail with any of your real estate questions.
Until Then Enjoy . .
