Happy Summer Sarasota! July/August

Sarasota BeachesSarasota SunsetEvery season in Sarasota is Beach season, and we all know that you don't have to do ANYTHING when you go to the beach, but did you know there is a lot more going on here these days than just the beautiful white powdery sands of Siesta Key Beach, or Anna Maria Island Beach, or Coquina Beach, or Lido Beach? OK, you get the picture!!

Watching the sun dip into the Gulf of Mexico this time of year is even more spectacular. The fiery red-orange sun seems to disappear in just seconds.

But – July brings very special events to our area as the 30th Annual Super Boat Grand Prix Festival – with 15 events, (with parades, a golf tournament and ending with the Grand Prix Race off Lido Beach).

Magnificent Fire Works can be viewed on July 4th. Standing on Siesta Key, no matter which way you look you see the Fireworks go off almost in unison from Venice to Longboat Key!

Sandhill CranesThe landscape around Sarasota is definitely changing as well. Not only are the Sandhill Cranes and their babies visible all around, but if you look up to the sky, not only in Lakewood Ranch and other communities in and around Sarasota, but downtown the construction cranes are visible as well. There are approximately 1500 condos and about 1,000 hotel rooms (which are definitely needed) being built as well.

Not to mention the new University Town Center Mall, scheduled to open in October. It is the only one of 2 enclosed malls being built in the entire country.

As always, we look forward to helping you find your perfect place in the sun, whether it be purchasing a vacation home, or permanent relocation. Don't hesitate to call or of course email.

Until then – Enjoy !!!! Leslie
